Surgical Precision

Text: Heb 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Becoming a surgeon can take up to sixteen years. The medical training they receive helps them to understand the human body and proper procedures for preforming the intricate task of removing or repairing abnormalities. With the invention of the da Vinci Surgical System, a robotic machine used by surgeons to perform less invasive procedures, it has help patents recover quicker and with less pain.

When faced with surgery there is a few things we must consider. First, we must ask ourselves do we want to proceed with the operation. Second, it is important to find the proper surgeon for the procedure. Last, and most important, do we trust the one who will operate on us. When we agree to these questions, then the operation can begin, and the problem resolved.

As God’s children, we face many situations that affect our lives and influence those around us. It can be sin, lack of faith, decisions, or a host of other things. When confronted with these conditions, are we willing to allow the Holy Spirit to preform the operation necessary to remove the problem? He made us and understands man better than any doctor. He knows exactly where the problem lies. He has the only surgical device that can dispose of the problem and lead us to a speedy recovery. The Holy Spirit is the surgeon. The word is His instrument. And don’t forget, we have the best recover team at our side, Jesus. So, trust your surgeon, (Jesus) and allow him to help you through your situation and a quicker recovery.

With God Nothing is Impossible

Hermann and Pauline lived in the German village of Ulm where they produced featherbeds in a struggling economy. To complicate matters, their son Al seemed to have developmental issues. Unlike most children his age, he didn't start speaking until almost three. During his early school years he wanted to spend most of his time alone entertaining himself with puzzles, building houses of cards, and endless hours with a simple compass.
His teachers where troubled with the time he took to answer questions. One day a teacher informed them that Al was hopeless. She said, "It doesn't matter what he does, he will never amount to anything." Hermann and Pauline had nothing to worry about. Their son became one of the greatest minds of the world. You know him as Albert Einstine.
How many times has the enemy attacked by saying you are worthless? When you fail, he is quick to remind you of it and publish it abroad. His constant bombardment of negative innuendos tear apart the fiber of who you are in Christ. The world may tell you will never amount to anything, but remember, you are on the winning side.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Sewing The Seed a true story

Text:
Psa_126:6  He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Recently, I became a member of the Gideons in Washington, North Carolina. This is a group of men and women that pass out the word of God to people around the globe. As a part of this family of believers, I soon discovered how much they devote their time to ensure that others hear the gospel. It thrills my heart to be a part of this wonderful group and help others come to know Christ. Today, I want to share with you a story that shows their love and devotion for our Lord.

The Gideon's knew the country in their sights was a stronghold the enemy would not give up with over 19 million people. Most would not venture into a forbidden land shackled by communism for fear of life, but these brave souls decided one life was worth the risk. To meet the call, this team of Gideons came ready and armed with the gospel from Finland, Germany, Republic of China (Taiwan), and the USA. Their target, Romania.

The team arrived in Bucharest, Romania’s capital, on October 7, 2017. Later that evening they met with 51 other Gideons and Auxiliary for briefing and prayer. A few weeks before their arrival, they learned that the Education Ministry had sent notifications to the schools forbidding the use of any books not approved by the state. With the gantlet laid, they were not willing to give up. Armed with prayer, they forged ahead in an effort that would impede the enemy’s drive.

Each morning the Gideons would gather and bind their souls to God in prayer and divide into small groups in a blitz covering campuses, hospitals, police stations, and hotels. Their prayers and efforts paid off with souls being saved and bibles being distributed. It was a rewarding experience for the group. “Even though we faced strong opposition throughout the week of the blitz, God truly led us on a triumphal procession,” said Doug. “We Rejoice and thank God for those precious souls who prayed to accept Christ as their personal Savior! We praise Him for the 55,228 Scriptures He allowed us to distribute and place.”

Our God is good. Please pray that more of the word of God will reach a lost and dying world.

Parts of this story was from The Gideon April-May2018 pages 26-29.

Held Together by God

Text:
Psa_139:14  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

While searching for a material to make plastic gun sights, Dr. Harry Coover had no idea his failed project would later become a popular household and industrial product. This wonder liquid proved to be a lifesaver during the Vietnam War and in the medical field. Its strength was demonstrated in the 1950s by suspending a car in the air by crane with people in it. Today, this product is known as Super Glue.
When God created the first man, Adam, he designed an extracellular matrix that works outside of the cells. This human glue known as Laminin, is used to form sheets and binds cells together allowing them to function properly. Another unique property about this human adhesive is its shape. This solitary molecule when examined under a microscope is shaped like a cross, a subtle reminder of who holds life together.
Even though we face challenges of spiritual decay, political policy, and media mayhem that test out faith and values, we have a Savior that is able to keep us from coming apart. Through His marvelous design, we can see him in the smallest matters.

Safe and Secure

Text

Ps. 18:2
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Built over seventy-eight years ago, Fort Knox Gold Depository protects America’s most valuable resource. Being the worlds most secure facility, it required over 17,000 feet of granite, 4,500 yards of concrete, 775 tons of reinforced steel and 700 tons of structural steel with a vault door twenty-one inches thick and weighing twenty tons. The compound has an army consisting of an aviation unit of armed Apache helicopters, one engineer battalion, a brigade, and a division totaling thirty-thousand soldiers. No one enters without the proper credentials.

There are those who would love to penetrate the walls of Fort Knox and get their hands on the precious metal housed in the facility. The only problem with that is it would require an army and a caravan of vehicles to make it happen. Because of its construction and safeguards, no one has ever attempted that feat since its construction.

Like Fort Knox, we have a fortress that the enemy can not penetrate. Our building (this body) sits on a solid foundation, fortified by God, and protected by a host around us making it impossible for the enemy to enter. He may attack from every angle, try to gain access through false pretense, and even bombard us; but his attempts are futile. We will overcome through Jesus Christ, the Saviour of our soul. So don’t lose hope, we have something better than Fort Knox.

Quote

“Where does your security lie? Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your shepherd, your counselor, your friend, your redeemer, your Saviour, your guide? If He is, you don’t need to search any further for security.”

New Book Coming Out in Early 2019

Being a writer is something I enjoy doing. Although I am a mechanic by day, I get to find new adventures at night creating compelling characters that live lives that help others. My first book The Christmas Stocking, was a story about a little boy who want to find a Christmas stocking so he could find his parents. I've sold over two hundred copies with great feed back. Later I will share some of the reviews I received.

My next book Faith Keepers will be coming out in early 2017. I wanted to share the cover with you and ask that you tell me what it says to you. I love feedback from anyone who wants to give it. So please tell me what the cover conveys to you and how it sparks your emotions. I am excited about it and would love to hear from you.

Thanks
